My notes
Welcome to my notes. These are a form of wiki or “digital garden”: a set of interconnected pages that I continually update and evolve. This is in contrast to a blog post, which is a snapshot of my thoughts from a moment in time and is generally not updated as those thoughts change in the future.
When writing my blog posts, I find myself wanting to reference the same ideas many times. For example: why I like version control, why I edit files over SSH, why and how I use a Peloton bike. I may have only haphazardly explained these things in the past, or had an explanation half-written in an old draft that I never got around to publishing.
My goal is to capture these ideas and explanations in these notes to make them easier to cite and build upon in my blog posts. There are also times when I’m feeling, shall we say, over-motivated to blog. In those times, I hope the notes give me a place to hack and putter without inundating my poor RSS readers.
