Trying Miniflux
Lately I've been using Inoreader for RSS subscriptions. Previously Reeder Classic. Why Miniflux? Because it's a cheap and fun experiment. And if it works well, I like the idea of supporting projects like this.
My initial impressions are great! I love the keyboard shortcuts, the old-school vibe, and the responsiveness of the UI.
I thought about self-hosting, and I was just about to fire up a free-tier VM in Google Cloud ... but I just don't want to bother right now. Maybe later. Instead, I'm intending to pay Miniflux $15/year to host it for me. I'm currently in the free-trial period, and I suspect I'll be a happily paying customer when it ends.
