I enjoyed Efé's post, Trying out Emacs, first thoughts, I hate my life.
I spent many moons cozying up to Emacs and Org Mode, and I can say without hesitation that I don’t miss them. In my view, Emacs roundly flunks the simplicity test, which is how I primarily determine my tool choice these days.
That said, I had a blast spelunking into its mind-boggle when I was a slightly younger man and more game for that shape of cyber-adventure. And Org Mode is amazing. There’s nothing else like it.
