Journaling on an Apple
I'm giving Apple Journal a go now that it's available on my Mac and iPad in addition to my phone. Here's what I like about it compared to Obsidian, where I've been journaling for some time:
Better photos integration.
Perusing prior entries. I can see the photos, the mood I logged (if I logged one), the first bit of whatever I wrote.
Location logging, and seeing my entries on a map. Not important, but kinda fun.
Suggested writing prompts and pictures. I haven't looked closely at these yet, but I like the idea.
I'll still use Obsidian as my system of record for most information. But for personal reflection, exploring thoughts, logging my mood, logging fun experiences, pictures of the kids, etc., Journal.app is feeling like a fun new thing, and it's provoking me to write more.
Honeymoon phase: engaged.
