Get rid of that AppleCare badge in macOS System Settings

Me too.
I didn't think it was possible because the only clickable option is an Add Coverage button. But if you click that, and wait for a spinner for a minute, you'll then get a Not Now button. That will make the badge go away.
Man, I've been living with that stupid thing for way too long. I actually came here to write a whiny post about it (even though I try not to write whiny posts). While trying to validate my disgust for Apple's new sales tactics, I found this Reddit post that showed me the light.
